What is a Bonus?

A Bonus is a type of reward that can be earned by fulfilling the requirements of a promotion.

When a Bonus is earned and opted into (if required), it is applied to your account. You earn cashback by “playing through” the Bonus balance, which will unlock the Bonus balance as cash in accordance with the terms of the promotion.

How do I earn a Bonus?

You can earn a Bonus by fulfilling the requirements of a promotion that offers a Bonus as a reward.

Once you fulfill the requirements of a promotion, you may need to opt in to the Bonus in order for it to become active. If the Bonus does not require you to opt in, upon fulfilling the requirements of the promotion, the Bonus will immediately become active and will be added to your Bonus balance.

How do I opt in to a Bonus?

When you have a Bonus that requires you to opt-in, it will show up in your account under Account > Bonus Details > Available Bonuses. Tapping “Opt In” will opt you in to the Bonus.

Note that once you have opted in to receive a Bonus from a particular promotion once, any subsequent rewards earned from that same promotion do not require a further opt in and can be found in the Reward Details > Active Bonuses section upon fulfillment of the promotion reward.

Will I earn cashback on any wagers placed before a Bonus is active?

No. A Bonus must be active at the time the wager is placed in order to be eligible to earn cashback. A Bonus is only active once you have opted in (should opt in be required).

I changed my mind and don’t want a particular Bonus. Can I opt out?

Yes, you can opt out of any active Bonus. Any remaining Bonus balance for that reward will be forfeited upon opt out.

If you opt out of a Bonus and then cash out any pending wagers that were used to play through such Bonus, any cashback earned on those wagers will be forfeited upon cashing out those wagers and will not be available for further playthrough.

If you opt out of a Bonus earned from a particular promotion, you may still be eligible to earn additional rewards from that promotion if permitted by the promotion terms.

Can I use my Bonus to place a bet?

No. Only cash may be used to place bets. You will earn cashback as you play through your Bonus in accordance with the terms of the promotion (see detailed explanation of “cashback” below).

What does cashback mean?

Cashback is the mechanism by which you can turn your Bonus balance into cash. It is represented by a percentage, which indicates the amount of wagering activity required.

For example, a $10 Bonus with a 5% cashback would require the patron to wager $200 cash in order to earn the full $10 cashback pursuant to this Bonus. A Bonus will unlock progressively, meaning that for every wager a patron places, a portion of the Bonus will unlock as cash in accordance with the terms of the Bonus. See Example1 below.

Example 1

5% cashback: A patron has a $1,000 Bonus that offers 5% cashback. This means the patron will earn 5% cashback on every wager until the $1,000 Bonus is exhausted.

Can I earn cashback on multiple Bonuses at a time?

No. While you may have multiple Bonuses available, only one Bonus may be used to earn cashback at a time.

If the amount of a wager exceeds the amount needed to unlock the full cashback amount associated with a particular Bonus, can the balance of the wager be applied against my next available Bonus?

No. Each wager will only count to earn cashback in respect of a single Bonus, even if the amount of the wager exceeds the amount required to earn the maximum amount of cashback in respect of that Bonus.

If I have multiple active Bonuses, which one do I earn cashback on first?

You earn cashback in the order the Bonuses became active. See Example 2 below.

Example 2

Determining cashback order: A patron has a Bonus that was credited to their account on January 1 which did not require opt in (Bonus A). The patron fulfills the criteria of a different promotion on January 2. This Bonus requires opt in, which they do not do until January 5 (Bonus B). The patron fulfills the criteria of yet another promotion on January 3. This Bonus does not require opt in, so it is made active in their account upon fulfillment (Bonus C).

The Bonus order is as follows:

Bonus A
Bonus C

You will earn cashback against Bonus C before Bonus B because while the promotional criteria of Bonus B was fulfilled first, it was not opted into until after Bonus C became active.

Do all cash bets qualify for earning cashback?

No. Only cash bets with odds of greater than -300 will qualify for earning cashback against a Bonus. For example, you would not earn cashback on a bet at -500, but you would on a bet at +200.

Will I earn cashback as soon as I place a bet or do I need to wait for that bet to settle?

If you place a bet that qualifies to earn cashback (see "Do all cash bets qualify for earning cashback?" above) the applicable cashback will be earned as soon as the bet is placed. If cashback has been earned on a bet and that bet is subsequently voided, results in "no action", or is not settled as a win, loss or push*, the cashback earned on the bet will be converted back into your Bonus if that Bonus is still active (see Example 3 below). If there are insufficient cash funds in your account to convert the cashback back to Bonus balance (see Example 4 below) or if Bonus has expired, and this results in a negative cash balance in your account, your account will be temporarily suspended pending rectification of such negative account balance.

* Although a push is deemed "no action" under theScore Bet House Rules, cashback earned on this wager will not be converted back into your Bonus.

Example 3

Rolling back voided, "no action" or unsettled bet to Bonus balance: A patron earned $2 cashback from a Bonus that offered 5% cashback by placing a $40 bet. The $40 bet results in "no action" because the event is cancelled.

Can I cash out a bet that was used to earn cashback?

Yes, you can cash out a bet that was used to earn cashback (if cash out is available on that bet). However, if you choose to cash out, the cashback earned on the original bet will be converted back into your Bonus balance if the Bonus is still active (see Example 3 below). For clarity - your Bonus is not forfeited; you will be able to earn cashback with subsequent wagers, provided the Bonus has not yet expired or been opted out of (see “I changed my mind and don’t want a particular Bonus. Can I opt out?” above ).

Example 4

Rolling back cashback to Bonus balance: A patron earned $1 cashback from a Bonus that offered 5% cashback by placing a $20 bet. They wish to cash out that $20 wager prior to the bet being settled for $16.

Please note that if there are insufficient cash funds in your account to convert the cashback back to the Bonus balance, cash out will not be available for that bet.

Do Bonuses expire?

Yes, Bonuses can expire. The expiration date will be noted on the Reward Details page in the app and will be outlined in the promotion terms.

What if a Bonus expires before I can earn the full amount of cashback associated with that Bonus?

If a Bonus expires before you earn the full amount of the cashback associated with that Bonus, any cashback that has been earned up until that point will remain in your cash balance. Any remaining Bonus balance will be forfeited upon expiration of the Bonus and will no longer be eligible to earn as cashback.
